We strive for an architecture which addresses the given situations and programmes with formal clarity, contextual sensitivity and practical organization. We look for solutions which correspond to our clients' needs and wishes, and, in addition, consider social and environmental issues. In order to optimize elements like cost control, structures, building physics and services, specialized consultants accompany the design process from the outset.
In addition, we try to articulate poetic and symbolic aspects of architecture. We understand our work as a continuous preoccupation with building culture and architectural tradition. The expanded teaching and lecturing activities, in Europe and in the USA, enable us to review and compound the theoretical and conceptual aspects of our work.
