Worked with Ernö Goldfinger, Colin St. John Wilson and from 1973 to 1975 with James Stirling. After 1975 freelance architect and lecturer for design and architectural theory at the department of architecture of the Kingston Polytechnic, London, the Architectural Association and the Canterbury School of Art. 1988 and 1993 guest professor at the Carnegie-Mellon-University in Pittsburgh, PA. USA. 1989 Guest professor at SCI-ARC, Vico-Morcote. Since 1989 domicile and office in Zurich. 1994 to 2004 Diploma critic at University College Dublin. 1997 guest professor at Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, USA. Lecturer and guest critic in numerous schools of architecture in Switzerland, Italy, Britain, USA and at KTH Stockholm.

Ulrich Schaad
Apprenticeship as an architectural draughtsman followed by architectural studies at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Winterthur. From 1969 worked with Walter H. Schaad, Lucerne. 1971 to 1989 Lived in London. Worked with Owen Luder Partnership, then with the Greater London Council, GLC and from 1975 to 1981 with James Stirling, from 1978 as an Associate. After 1981 freelance architect and lecturer for design at the department of architecture of the Kingston Polytechnic and the Architectural Association, London, also at Cambridge University. Occasional lecture activity. 1988 Guest professor at SCI-ARC, Vico Morcote. Since 1989 domicile and office in Zurich. 1991 to 2004 Lecturer at Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Winterthur, department of architecture.

Peter Schaad
Apprenticeship as an architectural draughtsman followed by architectural studies at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Winterthur. From 1969 worked in different architect's offices: with Pierre Zoelly in Zurich, with professor Kurt Ackermann in Munich, with Walter H. Schaad in Lucerne and for Jurck & partners in Nuremberg. In between expanded journeys in East Africa and in the Near and Middle East. 1973 Worked for Farmanfarmaian, Teheran. 1978 to 1980 worked for James Stirling in London. Since 1980 freelance architect. 1980 to 1987 design tutor at the Department of Architecture of the ETH Zurich with professors Dolf Schnebli, Ernst Studer and Arthur Rüegg. 1988 Guest professor at the SCI-ARC, Vico-Morcote. Since 1989 office in Zurich.
